Insurance

Out-of-network & self-pay.

I am a self-pay provider and do not bill insurance directly. If your plan includes out-of-network (OON) mental health benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement after paying out of pocket.

After each session I can provide a superbill — an itemized receipt with all the diagnostic and procedure codes your insurer needs to process your claim.

Before your first session

Ask your insurer:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
  • What is my out-of-network deductible?
  • What percentage do you reimburse after the deductible?
  • Do I need prior authorization?
  • How do I submit an out-of-network claim?
  • Is there a session limit per year?

How out-of-network reimbursement works

1

Attend & pay

Pay the session fee at time of service by card, HSA, or FSA.

2

Receive superbill

I provide an itemized receipt with all diagnostic and billing codes required by your carrier.

3

Claim reimbursement

Submit to your insurer directly. They review and reimburse you based on your plan's out-of-network benefits.

Limited sliding scale spots available

Cost shouldn't be what stands between a family and support. A small number of spots are reserved for those who demonstrate financial need. If that's your situation, please mention it when you reach out — I'd genuinely rather work something out than have you not get the help you need.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act (Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act), uninsured and self-pay clients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before beginning services.

You may request a written estimate at any time. If you have questions about your rights, visit cms.gov/nosurprises or ask at your first appointment.

Let's talk through the details.

Cost shouldn't be a barrier to getting started. If you have questions about fees, insurance, or what to expect financially, reach out before booking.
