Therapy for children, teens & parents in Georgetown, Texas — and by telehealth across the state.
I'm Katrina Fairchild, a licensed therapist for children, teens, and the parents who love them — especially the families who've tried everything and started to wonder if anything will ever actually help.
If that's where you are right now, you're in the right place. Let's start with a conversation.
A note from me —
I have a soft spot for the kids who've been called "difficult," "too much," or "too emotional." In my experience, those labels almost never tell the real story.
A child acting out is a child trying to tell us something. My job isn't to shut the behavior down — it's to understand what's underneath it, help your child find a better way to be heard, and help you feel steadier and more confident in the everyday moments that matter most.
Each of these is shaped around what your child and family actually need — never a one-size-fits-all script.
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy — evidence-based, real-time coaching for parents of children struggling with defiance, tantrums, and behavioral challenges.
For children and teens facing expulsion, school refusal, bullying, declining grades, or behavioral challenges at school.
Compassionate support for children navigating loss, divorce, illness, or other major life events — at their own pace.
For families caught in cycles of arguing, refusals, and meltdowns — helping children regulate and families reconnect.
Practical, personalized guidance to help you feel more confident, consistent, and capable in the moments that matter most.
The kids I work with have taught me more about resilience than any training ever could. Struggling doesn't mean you're broken — it means you're still fighting.
— Katrina Fairchild, LPC-S
I started out in non-profit work, supporting children and families through some of the hardest CPS cases imaginable. That experience shaped how I show up in every session since. For the past seven years I've been in private practice, and the through-line hasn't changed: the kids who feel the most misunderstood deserve the most skilled, most compassionate care.
LPC-S is the highest counseling license in Texas. But what I care about most is simpler — whether a child leaves my office feeling, maybe for the first time, genuinely understood.
Ongoing sessions are $185 for 60 minutes. The initial intake is $250 and runs 90 minutes. Sliding-scale availability is limited — please ask if cost is a barrier.
I don't bill insurance directly, but I provide a superbill — an itemized receipt with the codes your insurer needs — so you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients with OON benefits receive partial reimbursement this way.
Yes. In-person sessions are held in Georgetown, TX, and telehealth is available to any Texas resident. Most services can be delivered remotely.
That's a completely normal place to be. You're welcome to reach out with questions first — I'd rather help you make the right decision for your family than start something that isn't the right fit. If I'm not the best person to help, I'll tell you honestly.
Tell me what's going on and we'll figure out, together, whether I'm the right fit for your family. No pressure, no commitment — just a conversation. I usually reply within one business day.
