School Support · K–12

When school feels impossible to face.

School challenges can spiral fast — affecting a child's confidence, relationships, and sense of self. Therapy helps break the cycle before it goes further.

School struggles are more than grades.

Risk of expulsion
Bullying or peer conflict
Chronic absences
Declining grades
School refusal or avoidance
Anxiety about performance
Behavioral incidents
Difficulty with authority
Social isolation
Learning-related frustration
Low motivation
Feeling like they don't belong

School challenges are a signal, not a sentence. With the right support, things can get better.

Helping kids show up and feel capable again.

School support therapy helps children and adolescents address the emotional and behavioral roots of their school struggles. Rather than focusing on consequences, we work to understand what's underneath — and build the skills to handle it differently.

I collaborate closely with parents and, when appropriate, with school staff, so the support a child receives in therapy actually translates into the classroom.

Understand what's driving the behavior

Disengagement, defiance, and avoidance almost always have roots worth exploring.

Build emotional regulation skills

Tools for managing frustration, anxiety, and social pressure in the moment.

Navigate bullying and peer dynamics

Helping kids find their footing socially and rebuild confidence.

Support families through school crises

Expulsion risk and disciplinary processes are stressful for everyone — we'll work through it together.

What working together looks like

01

Initial assessment

We start by understanding the full picture — what's happening at school, what's been tried, and what your child is experiencing emotionally. Parents are a key part of this conversation.

02

Targeted therapy

Weekly sessions focus on the specific challenges your child faces — anxiety, social conflict, emotional regulation, or motivation — building skills they can use at school every day.

03

School collaboration

When helpful, I coordinate with teachers, counselors, or administrators to keep therapy and the classroom consistent — always with your consent.

School doesn't have to feel like a battle.

If your child is struggling at school, reach out. We'll figure out together what's going on — and what can help.
